Patrick Stein

Senior Architect

Patrick contributes to Mather Architecture’s significant experience in adaptive reuse, commercial, education, and urban projects. He has been privileged to work with several accomplished Canberra architects. He plays a vital role in the design review process within the studio. He enjoys work in partnership with specialist consultants, sub-contractors, and key stakeholders to realise quality design outcomes.

He is passionate about sustainability, improving public space and achieving community outcomes in Canberra and he has a depth of knowledge of the city’s planning and history. Patrick has taught at the University of Canberra for 10 years in a range of subjects, including history/theory and design studio. He holds a Master’s in Digital Design as well as Architecture. Patrick is committed to collaboration and has facilitated significant community-led design projects and contributed to leadership roles to design and arts festivals.
