Shane O’Brien

Shane is a architectural technician with over 30 years of experience, undertaking an extensive range of retail, commercial, public and residential projects. He has run his own practice working on both small residential and commercial projects over a number of years. With an eye for detail, he can solve complex technical issues and design critical building junctures through specification writing, scheduling, technical research and as a technical research and as a technical documentation specialist.

Shane enjoys mentoring junior staff in detailing and construction knowledge, bringing the skills gained in on-site roles and having taught technical and design courses at the Canberra Institute of Technology. He assists the team in reviewing products and building methods to ensure our documentation is fit for purpose, durable and cost-effective. Shane is a keen mountain biker and enjoys immersing himself in nature on multi-day rides. He brings a unique appreciation of the environment our projects sit within.
